Betty Hardwick Center
The Betty Hardwick Center offers a variety of support services to individuals with mental illnesses and intellectual and developmental disabilities. It provides various screening and eligibility determination, service coordination, day habilitation, employment assistance and community support services. The center operates a 6-bed respite home that offers 24-hour care services. The Betty Hardwick Center provides a range of early childhood intervention services that feature assistive technology, audiology, family counseling and education, nursing, nutrition, and occupational and physical therapies. It also offers developmental, medical, psychological, service coordination, social work, vision, and speech and language therapy services. Provides community mental health services. The 24-hour, toll free Crisis Hotline is (800)758-3344.This crisis number is for people facing an emergency situation, such as having a homicidal or suicidal thoughts. Medical Assistance for Area Citizens (MAAC)
Provides medical care for eligible residents of Taylor County to include diagnosis and treatment, laboratory services, medications, follow up visits, baseline physicals (not including sports physicals), health education and prevention activities. The client cannot qualify for Taylor County Indigent Health or other insurance, cannot be on Medicaid or Medicare.
Presbyterian Medical Care Mission
Presbyterian Medical Care Mission provides primary medical and dental care. Fees are based on income and family size.
Taylor County Indigent Health Care Program
This program provides basic medical services to residents of this county who cannot receive health care coverage from any other source and who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based on income and resources.
