Alternative Life Solutions provides court-ordered adult sex-offender treatment; marriage and family counseling; chemical dependency counseling; anger management classes and many other services. There are group and individual sessions available.

Centers for Children and Families offers Individual, Marital and Family counseling services. Counseling is provided at reduced or no cost. Most insurance plans and Medicaid are accepted.

The Family Health Clinic (FHC) is a community-based healthcare program that operates in partnership with Medical Center Hospital, the Ronald McDonald Charities, and the Family Dental Clinic to provide a wide range of healthcare services to uninsured and underinsured individuals in Odessa and the surrounding communities.The FHC provides medical services for walk-in appointments, acute services, minor mental health service, physicals, DOT physicals, well child exams, immunizations, CLIA waived lab services, and radiology services. This program provides basic medical services to residents of this county who cannot receive health care coverage from any other source and who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based on income and resources.

If your call is an emergency, a crisis team may be sent out to help manage your situation. If necessary, emergency services may also be contacted to respond to your crisis.

Samaritan Counseling Center is a faith-based counseling center that specializes in individual, martial, family counseling, alcohol and drug dependency, eating disorders, anger management, and psychological issues of the elderly with grief, depression and coping. Clients may contact the center to schedule an appointment. The Center has a standard fee, but many insurance policies cover services. Some churches and employers have contracted to underwrite a portion of treatments, and assistance is provided for those clients with no insurance and low income. Counseling and career testing are free to active military, veterans, and their families.

The Odessa Community Based Clinic is designed to bring primary care services for eligible veterans living in the following counties: Loving, Winkler, Ector, Midland, Ward, Crane and Upton.

The Odessa College Adult Basic Education Program provides instruction in basic reading, writing, math and life coping skills for adults below a ninth grade education level. Instruction is individualized to allow students to work at their own level. Computer assisted instruction and academic counseling are available. Students also have access to the Internet. Upon successful completion of the curriculum the students are ready for the GED preparation classes.

Goodwill West Texas helps people with barriers to employment find meaningful work. Their employment specialists will do their best to put you to work in one of their locations, or help you find employment in the area. Goodwill West Texas also provides Work Adjustment Training. By working one on one with a mentor, this training program helps individuals build the foundation needed to find and maintain employment in the community.

Freedom House Discipleship provides a one-year, faith-based discipleship program for men. The program also offers employment placement, transportation assistance, and parole fee assistance. The first six months are free of charge; once residents are gainfully employed, they must pay 15% of their wages toward room and board. Assistance is provided in establishing a checking account and acquiring birth certificates and state ID cards.

A ministry that helps the homeless and poor and needy, with food, clothing and life skills help. They also run a men's transitional home and are in the process of building a facility to house women and children.

Mission Messiah is a twelve-month, faith-based residency program for women and their children. Through the application of solid Bible teaching, Scripture memorization, and constant attention by staff and volunteers, lives are changed.

This agency administers public housing programs such as Section 8 rental housing vouchers and Low Rent Public Housing for low income families. Eligibility for people convicted of criminal offenses varies and waiting lists are common.

This program addresses the needs of homeless households by providing scattered site rental assistance for a 24 month period along with Continuum of Care services to help increase their education, skills, and incomes to begin the path towards their goals of becoming self sufficient.

The Veteran Services Officer acts as an advocate and assists veterans and/or their survivors obtain entitled benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the State of Texas. Permian Basin Mission Center provides food, clothing, and furniture as well as life-skills workshops for people in the Permian Basin. They also can help with eye glasses, utilities, prescriptions, school supplies and school uniforms.

Salvation Army in Odessa offers emergency shelter as well as assistance with food and clothing.

The SNAP food benefits (formerly known as Food Stamps) help people with low incomes and resources buy the food they need for good health. Medicaid Programs provide medical benefits for eligible low income adults, children, and families. CHIP offers a health insurance program for children. Alcoholics Anonymous

Permian Basin Community Centers provides chemical dependency services funded through the TX Department of State Health Services. These services include residential treatment, outreach and intervention, and outpatient treatment for both adolescents and adults.

Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a not for profit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. They are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. The desire to stop using is the only requirement for membership. The meetings are free and anyone may join.

The Center is a not-for-profit chemical dependency treatment and counseling facility. It is a comprehensive treatment facility in the Midland area for self-pay clients; those with insurance and offers a sliding scale fee for all others.
